- Inform health care providers about novel methods in dealing with patients who over-utilize Emergency Department resources by manifesting drug-seeking behavior, as well as a brief review of up and coming street drugs such as "Spice" and "Bath Salts."
- Identify the role of the forensic nurse examiner in the Emergency Department.
- Identify surgical options for heart failure treatment, specifically ventricular assist device support.
- Understand the mechanism of action of new antiplatelet and anticoagulant medications used in cardiology.
- Address Emergency Department overcrowding and the real effects of diversion.
